Aamir Bashir is an Indian TV artist and film director born in Kashmir, India. He born and brought up in Kashmir and after his schooling, he shifted to Delhi, where he did his graduation in history from St. Stephen's College. His father is a very reputed man and served the Jammu state for many years. He was the Chief Justice of Jammu High Court.

Aamir did much work in the TV industry and still doing it with full affection and love. He won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film HARUD in 2012. This film was released in Urdu.

Before this in the late 90's, Aamir started his career from a television when he played a role in TV series Bhanwar. This series was broadcast on the very popular channel Sony Entertainment Televisions originally produced by TV18. This series was so popular that it again rebroadcast, on SAB TV and later on Fox History & Entertainment. This series won the Jury's choice award for the best investigative show. Aamir acted in many Television series like, ALPVIRAM 1998; in 2002 he appeared in Sarhadein, and ISSE KEHTE HAI GOLMAAL in 2004, and Rishtey 2005. He played several roles in TV advertisements the latest one is Cadbury's chocolate with his co-star , who is also a fine Model and Actress of TV industry.

After many advertisements and TV series, Aamir got a break in the film industry with the movie, SPLIT WIDE OPEN which was directed by and was officially released in India on 24th March, 2000. He appeared in the 2003 film ARMAAN. In 2008, He played a role of a police inspector in a super hit movie A WEDNESDAY; the film also won him a Screen Awards nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Bashir appeared in many movies like Pyaar ke side effects, Frozen, Peepli live, Future to bright hai, Haider.

Aamir Bashir was all also got a chance to play a role with the king of heart Shahrukh Khan as a younger brother in the movie '', but at last time United States of America denied his visa. Some shots of the movie were picturised in the USA. The film shot in 2008 and the role of Aamir gave to a well famous actor .
