Na Aana Is Des Laado was an Indian television drama serial aired in March 2009 on Colors TV. It revolves around the issue of female infanticide that still exists in rural India. It shows how the girl child is killed even before she is born and it talked about the Indian rural mentality about girl child. It also showcases even the government is helpless to overcome this mentality too. The serial shows how Sia (the main lead) is fraudulently married and brought to the village of her in-laws just to humiliate her for standing against this female infanticide mentality. It also shows how she fights and tries to address this issue.

The serial became very popular among all age and sex groups across the country. It was also one of the most successful serial on the Indian Television with growing TRPs. The show’s life was of whopping 40 month period from March 2009 to July 2012. It was a prime time show with good TRP.
