Neelam Bhagchandani was born in Jaipur on November 10, 1988. after some time, they relocated to Nagpur and Neelam received her school education in Nagpur. After her school, she did her college education from Mumbai.

From the beginning, she was interested in creative work and over the years, she was interested in working behind the camera. She started working as an assistant Director and started here career as Associate Executive Producer. In a short span of time, she realised that her place was not behind the camera and she would have to perform in front of the camera.

She started her acting career with animation film on Sony TV in which she did the role of Kandy. Kandy was depicted as a socialite beauty and always busy into the gossips of business and other trivia. She put up a good performance and got minor roles in a number of serials like Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Devi, Koi Aane Ko hai, Ssssh Koi hai, Ahat and CID etc.

Then she got a role in Ganga Ki Dheej which was produced by Shyamashis Bhattacharya and directed bu . The serial was telecast on Sahara One and dealt with the problems of young girls and unmarried women set in the background of a Bengal village. The male lead in the serial was portrayed by legendary actor . Though the role played by Neelam was small but it was challenging and she won great accolades for her performance.

After that she was cast in Na Aana Is Des Laado as an Indian American girl who has come to India to get married. But the behaviour met out by Ammaji, the mother of groom to be who is an orthodox and cannot tolerate her antgonises her and she flies back to America without marrying.

In real life, she is married to Sahil Sachdeva who is an NRI businessman settled in USA.
