Hindi Tv Serial Hip Hip Hurray Season 1

During the ‘90s, Hip Hip Hurray! turned out to be one of the most popular Hindi TV shows. The serial was a hit especially among younger crowd. This TV series had two seasons. The first one was aired on Zee TV in 1998 and the second one in 2001. The show completed a total of 135 episodes, having 80 and 55 in first and second seasons, respectively. The story of Hip Hip Hurray revolves around the lives of 12th grade students at DeNobili High School. The serial depicts all the phases a normal teenager goes through, their interactions, relationship with parents, teachers and peers and also topics like dating, exams, heart breaks, sorrows and joys of students. The highs and lows of each student are portrayed with great diligence.

CAST:

• Nilanjana Sharma: She played the role of Mona in Hip Hip Hurray, which indeed was a pivotal one. Nilanjana Sharma is a Bengali actress. Her debut film was Swapner Feriwala (2002). She also appeared in movies like Aamra (2006) and Kuch toh Gadbad Hai (2004).

• Peeya Rai Chowdhary: Peeya Rai Chowdhary played the role of Kiran in Hip Hip Hurray. The Bengali actress is also known for her appearances in Bhoot (2003), Bride and Prejudice (2004), and My Brother Nikhil (2005). The Bong Connection actress married model Shayan Munshi in 2006 but the couple later parted ways in 2010.

• Purab Kohli: Purab Kohli is a VJ, model and a movie and television actor. He played the role of Mazhar in Hip Hip Hurray. The serial gave his career a kick start following which he was a VJ for Channel V. His debut film was Bus Yuhin (2003). He also appeared in movies like My Brother…Nikhil (2005), Woh Lamhe (2006) and in a negative role in Awarapan (2007). His role in Rock On! (2008) as ‘Killer Drummer (KD)’ won him a Film fare Special Jury award.
