Purab Kohli is an Indian model, Video Jockey (VJ) and TV and movies actor. His birth date is 23 Feb, 1979. He had done his schooling in various schools such as The Bishop’s and St Stanislaus in Pune. He also left his dream of becoming a pilot and finally went into modeling. He has been working in the industry since 2003. His first TV show was Hip Hip Hurray that was telecasted on Zee TV in which he played the role of Mazhar. Then he worked in a travel show which was Gone India in which he used to go at many places in India in limited budget and gained popularity from it. He also did work as a VJ for Channel V. After came music show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar where he hosted the show, besides that he also hosted the show Terra Quiz as well for National Geographic Channel.

Also he had worked in advertisements of various brands like Colgate, Compaq, Castrol, Pizza Hut and various other brands. He had worked in almost twenty movies till date. Bas Yun Hi was his debut film and then Supari, Vaastu Shastra, 13th Floor, My Brother…Nikhil, it got him recognition in the industry after which he got his entrance in the Bhatt camp with movie and then in Awarapan he played role of villain Munna. Rock On!! movie character was one of his most acclaimed performances in which he played the role of KD (Killer Drummer) along with names like and that got him Special Jury Mention at 2009 Filmfare Awards. He also worked with in Turning 30 and Fatso! and in his both vibrant roles he charmed the audience for sure. His latest film Jal released in 2014 was based on life a villagers who struggle for water which was also screened at Cannes Film Festival. He also tried his skills in dancing in seventh season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, a dance reality show being telecasted COLORS TV. He also shifted to Goa from Mumbai stating that it’s impossible living in Mumbai due to noise, pollution and traffic.
