The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is an annual event that honors excellence in Indian film. The first day of the event was dedicated to the IIFA Rocks concert, which featured some of India's most popular singers and musicians. The concert was hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Manish Paul and was filled with fantastic performances by artists such as Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Benny Dayal and others. The highlight of the concert was a tribute to A.R. Rahman, the legendary music composer.
Rahman was honored with a special award for his contribution to Indian music and performed some of his most famous songs live on stage. The audience was mesmerized by his performance and it was a truly unforgettable moment. The second day of the event was dedicated to the IIFA Awards Ceremony, hosted by Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan. The event was held at MetLife Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the United States, and was attended by over 40,000 people. The event started with a stunning performance by Alia Bhatt, who danced to some of her hits. The first award of the night was for Best Debut Actor, which was won by Diljit Dosanjh for his performance in the film "Udta Punjab."
The award for Best Debut Actress went to Disha Patani for her role in "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story." The Best Supporting Actor Award went to Anupam Kher for his role in the film "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story." The award for Best Supporting Actress went to Shabana Azmi for her performance in "Neerja." The Best Actor Award went to Shahid Kapoor for his outstanding performance in the film "Udta Punjab". The best actress award also went to Alia Bhatt for her performance in the film "Udta Punjab". The best film award went to "Neerja," based on the true story of a flight attendant who sacrificed her life to save the passengers on board.
