Hindi Awards Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012

The Big Star Entertainment Awards are annually organized by one of the most reputed groups, The Reliance Broadcast Network Limited in union with Star India to endorse personalities from the field of entertainment across television, sports, theater, movies, music, and dance. The award is considered to be a completely audience driven award where the viewers participate right from nominations to the final announcement of the winners through SMS and online voting that is being done across the different categories under which the celebrities are nominated. The award was first initiated on December 12 2012, and the first nomination of the award reached the audiences through various online entertainment portals on December 15. Reliance Broadcast Network collaborated with Star India Ltd. in a confederation to create an exclusive platform called Big Star Entertainment Awards, which adores entertainers across different genres like movies, music, television, and sports.

The awards were visualized by RBNL's marketing firm, Big Live. During the launch of the Big Star Entertainment Awards the organizers mentioned that it would be completely an audience driven selection process, the awards ensured that from nomination till the awards announcement it will be a people’s choice award in the various field of movies, music, theater, television series, and sports. The Big Star Entertainment Awards was kicked started with the goal of reaching out to each and every Indian Audience across the nation through different available media platforms of both the firms. The first Big Star Entertainment Awards took place on 21 December 2010 at Bhavan's Grounds in Mumbai. Today we feel privileged to announce the Big Star Entertainment Award which aims to pay respect to the entertainment sector the way audiences cherish it. These are the award which empowers the viewers to decide who entertains them the best. Under the decided 21 categories in 2010, Big Star Entertainment Awards under the celebrities from Bollywood were honored. These included 8 categories for the mainstream Bollywood films, 4 for the television daily soap sector and a set of 9 awards which honored the best show and actor/actresses of the 2000-2010 Decade.

Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012 was the third in the series, that took place in Mumbai on Sunday, December 16 at the Andheri Sports Complex; the award was telecasted on Star Plus on Friday, December 31 at 10 PM, it had some great surprises packed for the audiences.
