India.” He was the founder and CEO of a private radio station called "Big FM." His latest venture of the OTT platform is quite successful. Tarun, born on 7^th January 1975, served as a businessman and media executive for the Indian media networks. He worked as CEO of Reliance Broadcast Network (RBN) from 2018 to 2020. His spouse is Monisha Singh Katial.

Tarun completed his primary education in Mumbai. Later, he graduated from the “University of Mumbai.” He then initiated his career through “Saatchi and Saatchi, Enterprise Nexus Lowe, and Ogilvy and Mather.” Later, he shifted to “Star Network.” Finally, he joined “Sony Entertainment Television” as business head in 2004. In 2002, he accepted the honor of the “Indian Telly Awards” as the “Best Television Programming Executive of the Year.”

Tarun expanded his scale due to the growing popularity of web series in India. One can expect many great projects from his production company even though he has minimal experience in the online market. He showed interest in regional channels more than English ones. He built his radio business without the support of the primary controller of the music industry, “T-Series.”

 Tarun has a monopoly over the “Zee5” brand. The availability of regional and original content determines the success of the platform. Tarun boosts the reach of the online content by advertising through various mediums with his alliance partners. His primary goal is to make “Zee5” accessible to Indians according to their specific time and language. He recognizes the Indian audience’s needs beyond the content available for Global viewers.
