Maharaj belongs to a respectable household, yet he is an alcoholic due to his past disappointments. His father is Subinoy, and his mother is Purnima. Whenever he breaks down, his father shoulders him and brings him back to normal. His mother, Purnima, dislikes Maharaj’s behaviour and feels that he defames his family’s reputation. Pujarini is from a humble household. She works hard to support her family. Subinoy unexpectedly meets Pujarini and is impressed by her helping nature and confidence. He decides to make her his daughter-in-law. Pujarini’s father dreamed of making her a Chartered Accountant. While chasing a robber, he dies, and his unexpected demise shocks the entire family. Meanwhile, Subinoy’s health is deteriorating, and Purnima feels it is because of Maharaj. In a turn of events, Maharaj and Pujarini enter the marriage relationship. Will they succeed in their lives? The rest of the series focuses on their lives.
