. It started premiering on 11th December 2023. It aired every Monday to Friday at 7:30 pm. Aase is the official remake of Star Vijay’s Sirakadiakka Aasai. The serial is also available on Disney+ Hotstar.
The story is about Meena and Surya. Meena is from a lower-middle-class family, and Surya, a taxi driver, is an alcoholic. As he is an alcoholic, even his mother doesn’t have a good impression of him. His father, younger brother, and grandmother are affectionate with him. His mother’s favorite child is her elder son, who earns a lump sum. A loan shark who had an eye over Meena kidnaps her. But, an unknown person who came on his bike wearing a helmet saved Meena. Meena was unable to see the person who saved her from danger. Unexpectedly, Surya gets married to Meena. Though both didn’t have affection initially, they slowly understand each other. Surya slowly sheds his alcoholic habit. However, they have to face a lot of financial issues and problems created by others in the family.
