“Raadha” is a Bengali serial that aired on 31st October 2016 and was broadcasted by Zee Bangla. The serial was produced by Surinder Films and has 385 episodes in total with the final episode on 8th December 2017. The serial revolves around two characters Raj and Radha who try and find love and acceptance in each other, struggling against all odds. Raj is a successful designer and owns a fashion house while Radha owns a tailor’s shop and belongs to a small middle-class family. Raj dislikes her in the beginning because of her moderate skills and the fact that she is overweight. Radha doesn’t like to be judged merely for her weight and this causes a rift between the two. However, fate decides to bring them together in a union of marriage, and having no way out they have to accept each other as husband and wife. How they find acceptance and love in their married life and how they get to know each other a bit better constitutes the rest of the episodes that are packed with romance, comedy, and drama.
