Ponchomi is a Bengali television series aired on the renowned channel Star Jalsha. The show casts actors Rajdeep, Susmita, Tramila Bhattacharjee, and Riya Ganguly in pivotal roles. The show is a supernatural fiction show centered around the lives of shape-shifting serpents. The show’s storyline revolves around the life of our protagonist, Ponchomi, a girl who was born on Naag Panchami. Because of this, she has supernatural powers which makes the show all the more interesting and exiting to watch. Ponchomi is a shape-shifting naagini with incredible powers. In the story, she marries a human named Kinjal.
With Ponchomi being a naagini and her husband a human, it puts her husband’s life in danger. So, throughout the series, Ponchomi faces many challenges to protect her husband and maintain a happy married life. This adds a layer of dark romance to the story. Rajdeep and Susmita won the audience's hearts with their on-screen chemistry and brilliant individual performance. Another interesting fact about the show is that it also has a Telugu remake titled "Naaga Panchami.
