Actor Ramesh Aravind has appeared in many critically acclaimed films in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages but also had a successful television career. He is an Indian film actor and talk show host, who started to appear in many TV shows and have anchored them successfully. But with a talk-show ‘Weekend with Ramesh’, he made TV ratings soar when he revealed the secrets of actor’s personal life on the show. In this show, famous actors, directors, musicians, singers and writers reminisce about their careers and the philosophy. The interviewees speak on their childhood, how they got started in show business, personal life, etc. This talk show ‘Weekend with Ramesh’ took a deep study into an actor’s personal life and shot the entire episode in the Abbaiah Naidu Studio, Bangalore.

The season- 1 was premiered on August 2, 2014, and was wrapped up after 26 episodes. The show ended on October 26, 2014, with an announcement that season-2 will be aired soon with many more guests in the studio. Today, this show is the most successful chat show ever in the history of Kannada television industry. Host Ramesh Aravind is the most gracious host who with a cup of tea and puts all the invitees on the hot seat and urges them slowly but steadily narrate their personal thoughts in the show. The show was premiered with the superstar Puneeth Rajkumar and was featured in two episodes. Some other actors who appeared in two episodes include actor Yash, Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar.

The actor and host even did cast actresses like Tara, Radhika Pandit, actress-cum-politician Umashree and much more celebrities in the hot seat. The biggest plus point of the show that the host Ramesh made the invites and guests nostalgic by calling his or her friends from film industry on the sets of the show to send a message to the artist. A few more successful sandalwood superstars such as Upendra or even showman of Kannada industry Veeraswamy Ravichandran made an appearance in the hot seat. Kannada industry which is known for foot tapping musical score by Gurukiran Shetty was also an invite to the show. The final episode of the show featured the anchor Ramesh Aravind in the hot seat, and the show was anchored by screenwriter and director Yogaraj Bhat for two special episodes.

After the final episode was aired on TV on October 26, 2014, actor Ramesh Aravind announced that he is all set to return to television with this cult show with a season -2 very soon!
