Matte Vasantha is a daily soap opera that broadcasts on Star Suvarna. The serial started on 2 March 2020 but went off the air on first April due to COVID 19 and nationwide lockdown. It started again on 31st August. It airs from Monday to Friday. It is a story about a woman and a Goon who fall in love. The woman's name is Aparna. She is a fierce woman, Independent, and works hard to support her family members. She is the female protagonist of the show. Vasanta works for a local gangster and is his right hand. They meet at a road, and the male protagonist commits a crime. Now Aparna wants to file a complaint against him and goes to the police station.

Another goon, named Shastri, tells Vasantha about it. He goes to Aparna and threatens her, and says she shouldn't file a complaint. He threatens her family members as well. Aparna is fearless and refuses to do that. Later, Vasantha is in jail due to her complaint and Bhaskar's pressure. As he is in jail, Vasantha misses his sister's birthday. When he is free from jail, he kidnaps Aparna to get revenge. When she is out of his capture, people think they have an affair. After that, Aparna loses her clients due to the rumor. After that, she files another complaint against him. Later Annaji orders some goons to beat Aparna. Vasantha saves her, and while doing that, he gets hurt. She sends him to the hospital to get help, while Shastri tells Anna Ji about everything. Vasantha fainted and was admitted to a hospital.

After he is well, he searches for Aparna. He is now a changed man and wants to leave all the bad things that he used to do. He is in love with Aparna and wants to impress her. She is not in love with him and thinks she can never love a criminal. Later he goes to her house and helps her family members solve some of their problems. When Aparna knows that he has helped her family members, she scolds him and asks never to do that. In an accident, Aparna loses her parcel. Later someone tells Vasantha about the stolen parcel. He finds out who stole it and warns the man. He asks him to return the parcel.
