Harmony was a musical show where every playback singer of Bollywood would appear live on a stage and sing the best composition sung by them. They would even tell the viewers why the particular song was favorite for them. Some singers even paid rich tribute to a singer like Mohammed Rafi, who is no more with us.
Music is like gems and even today’s generation signer would like to experience the songs rendered by yesteryear singers like Mohammed Rafi. For instance, a singer like Sudesh Bhosle and Suresh Wadkar had paid a rich tribute to the legendary singer. Kumar Sanu sang his favourite song ‘Tere Dar Pe Sanam’ or ‘Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye’ or Kavita Krishnamoorthy sang her favourite number ‘Pyar Hua Chupke Se’ etc.
Even Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam and Abhijeet had perfumed live on the small screen. Since songs are always favorite of Indian viewers, the show was appreciated a lot. It was not a talent hunt show but a program which would feature music lovers’ favorite singers. Sailesh Dave produced the show, and Sachin Deshpande directed the show. Ashwyn Balsaver was instrumental for sound design, and Dongrej Gor was the online editor of the show.
Daboo Malik was the musical presenter, and Raju Tendulkar was the director of photography. The show was created by Sailesh Dave who is the founder of Runaway Productions (India) Pvt Ltd in 2000 and created a small production house which became famous with a program like ‘Movers & Shakers’. Sony’s broadcast program ‘Harmony’ was one of the most creatively challenging musical shows on Indian television. It was telecasted on Sony TV channel.
