Mahabharat is one of the great sagas in Indian history. It aired on DD National from 1991. The serial covered big stories that happened with Pandavas and Kauravs. The program left some lesser-known stories unnoticed and ended. In 1997 they started the serial Mahabharat Katha, a serial in which they showed all the unnoticed stories that happened during the great war of Mahabharata. It was a sequel of the original serial Mahabharat. It had a total of 45 episodes ending in 1998. The show starts with Barbareek meeting Pandavas. They get scared by his three arrows and want him dead. They mourn the death of dead kids. At the end of the war, Pandavas win, and Barbareek's head is joined to his body. He is now alive and can walk, talk and everything. He leaves for sanyas. After Pandavas won the war, he starts apologizing to everyone who's lost their loved ones. At first, he goes to Ganga to seek forgiveness for the death of Bhishma Pitamah. She refuses to forgive him.
