Harish Bhimani was born on February 15. He received the President's Medals at the National Film Awards 2016. He is most recognized as Samay, the narrator in the Mahabharat television series (1988-1990). He is associated with some legendary tracks and has over 20,000 recordings under his belt. Since the 1980s, he has been the principal voice in many documentaries, corporate films, feature films, television and radio advertisements, games, and music CDs, in addition to hosting public events and ceremonies. Harish Bhimani is appreciated as 'One of the Most Recognisable Voices of India,' 'The Most-travelled Indian Compere,' and 'A Writer with a Zing.'
Harish attended Hansraj Morarji Public School in Mumbai, Elphinstone College in Mumbai, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology in Nagpur, and Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies for his MBA. From narrating the Mahabharat on TV to India's ambitious text-to-speech Venture - with over 20,000 recordings of commercials, corporates, and documentaries; from competing at Madison Square Garden to the Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Shrine Auditorium; and from writing TV serials Khandaan, Subah, Inkaar, Sukanya, and Grahan, Harish Bhimani has done it all. He narrated the majority of Sachin Shankar's ballets. Harish worked in Guru Dutt's acclaimed film, The Guru of Celluloid, for Guru Dutt Films Pvt Ltd. in 2008.
