Kaun Banega Crorepati Known as KBC is a game show of Indian Television started in 2000 running till now in different seasons This show was based on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game show broadcast in the UK.

The first seasons of KBC were started in 2000 broadcast on Star Plus, Amitabh Bachchan hosted the show, it was he debuted on the small screen. KBC returned in 2005 broadcast on Star Plus and hosted by again Amitabh Bacchan, This time the winning amount was 2 Crore Rupees but show called off when Amitabh Bachchan fell ill. The third season of KBC Started in 2007 but the host of KBC Amitabh Bachchan was replaced by Shah Rukh khan which was not a good move because the TRP of KBC went down. The fourth season Of KBC broadcast on Sony TV in 2010 on the birthday of Amitabh Bachchan who was hosted this season again replacing Shah Rukh Khan. The show was broadcast Monday to Thursday at 9.00 PM.

The fourth season of KBC was directed by Siddhartha Basu. The Fifth Season of KBC started in 2011, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan again. KBC 5 broadcast on Sony Tv Monday to Friday at 8.30, running time of the show was increased 1 to 1 and half hour. The sixth season started in 2012 broadcast on Sony Tv Friday to Sunday at 8.30. The show started with high TRP and broke previous records. In KBC6 they started giving a chance to win to crime victims and needy person through their Dusra Muaka term. The seventh Season of KBC started in 2013 on Sony TV hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, The prize money of KBC 7 is increased to 7 Crore. The eighth season of KBC is all set to start, the show is again going to host by Amitabh Bachchan and people are waiting for the show eagerly.
