. The plot is based on the city of Delhi. The name ‘Jamuna Paar’ itself refers to a part of the city on the other side of the banks of Yamuna River.
as Brijesh Kumar aka Bijju. He is a simple guy who lives on the not so fancy side of Delhi and has a tailoring workshop there. The Female lead is played by Vidhi Pareek as Vidhi Malhotra who is referred to as Madamji for almost the entire show. Vidhi hails from a rich family of south Delhi (the posh part of Delhi) and is a fashion designer. Her only problem is the fact that she feels under appreciated by her family and that her family members had never made her feel special. She meets Bijju and they strike the right chords at first. Bijju makes her feel special and happy and hence she decides to let go of her dream to go to Paris pursue fashion designing. She ends up staying in Delhi, in order to stay close to Bijju. The latter part of the story revolves around their love story and how they come face to face against their families.
