Tanya Abrol is a popular and upcoming actress who though debuted and started her acting career with Hindi movies, mainly appears in Television serials which are aired on various popular Hindi entertainment channels. Tanya Abrol hails from Punjab and was born in Abohar, Punjab to Punjabi parents Ramakrishna Abrol and Sarita Abrol and has completed her graduation from the prestigious DAV College, Chandigarh. Unlike other actors and actresses, Tanya Abrol didn’t aspired to be an actress at all and acting happened to her incidentally when she quite to her own surprise got selected for the audition of Chak De India! And finally she bagged the role the feisty Punjabi girl Balbir Kaur – one of the hockey players of the Women’s Indian Hockey Team in the film Chak De India! With Superstar Shahrukh Khan in the lead. After the super duper success of the movie Tanya started getting many acting offers and this is when she decided to up acting as her profession. Tanya since then has featured in many Hindi TV serials, Hindi and regional serials and movies. Some of her works include: Yeh Hai Aashiqui, CID as Inspector Jayanti Shinde, Miley Jab Hum Tum (serial and movie with the same name), Love you soniye (Punjabi Movie), Best of luck Nikki in the role of Pam. Presently, Tanya Abrol is seen playing the main protagonist in the show, Santosh in the TV serial Yeh Hai Aashiqui which airs on UTV Bindaas. Recently, Tanya Abrol was seen playing an instrumental role in the recently aired episode of Sony TV’S veteran crime thriller completing its 17 years where ACP Pradyuman was shot dead by his estranged son who is now a terrorist and Tanya Abrol plays the role of C.I.D Inspector Jayanti Shinde.
