Analysis
The film is a light hearted comedy and does justice in remaking and adapting the film in a Telugu landscape momentarily. The introduction is good and establishes how a series of events led to Uma getting into a brawl. The cinematography of this film is one of the highlights. Capturing the scenic beauty of the town. The actors have done their job well. One of the biggest demerits of this film is its slow pace despite the film being 1 hr 45 min long. So much time is invested in characterization. The simplicity and innocence of the characters in the film is commendable. The comedy aspect of the film is a hit and a miss. Suhas fails to make the audience laugh this time. A stagnant screenplay is this film’s downfall. Editing is also a big factor in this because a film only 1 hr 45 min feels lengthy. The songs of the film are good. Melodious and soothing. Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopsaya is not as good as the original but would be a breath of fresh air if you’ve not seen the original.

Verdict
Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopsaya is an average comedy drama that does offer earnest performances. You can watch it and like it if you’ve not seen the original.
