Initially, she was accepted as a model, and she did many advertisements. Along with Suriya, she got popular with her endorsing a biscuit brand on the television.

Prabhu Deva entered the film industry at the early age. He has assisted his father in the film Vetri Vizha, in which Kamal Hassan and Prabhu did the lead roles. He appeared in Raja song along with Karthik Muthuraman, in the film Agni Natchathiram, a Mani Ratnam movie.
