Plot
Eshwar, an IT professional, is married to Aathika. They are expecting their first child. They move to a rented house on its first floor. Ilamparuthi, an Executive Officer of a Town Panchayat, lives on the ground floor of the same house. Ilamparuthi is married to Selvi and has a teenage daughter, Aparna. He is an old-fashioned person and also doesn’t care much about the wishes of his wife and daughter. In contrast, Eshwar cares much about his wife and fulfils her wishes. As his wife is pregnant, he wants her to travel safely and comfortably. So, he bought a car and parked it in the portico in the ground floor. Ilamparuthi had been using the parking space fully for so many years, as none of the previous tenants owned a car. As the space he used is now used by Eshwar, he lost his tolerance. They both had a couple of fights. After these incidents, Ilamparuthi sells his bike and buys a new car to stop Eshwar from parking his car in the parking space in front of his house. Started as a petty fight, their enmity grows big despite the women at home trying to solve the issues. What happened next? Did they both reconcile? The rest of the film speaks about this.
Star Performance
MS Bhaskar has once again proved his mettle. His egoistic looks and body language, make the audience feel that his on-screen character is his real character and start hating him. His performance is such a brilliant one. Harish Kalyan, too, has done a wonderful job. As an angry man, he emoted well. Rama excels these people in a scene where she lashes out MS Bhaskar, after bursting out all the anger and suppressions deep in her heart. Indhuja didn’t have much to do, yet she did her part well.
Analysis
The film is all about ego clashes. If a problem is sorted out in the initial stage, we can stop it from blowing up. We won’t do it and make the issue grow as an enmity tree. This is what the director meant to say. Though the screenplay is good, when we enter the second half, we can predict the next happenings. It continues till the end. As the performances are neat, the predictability issue gets suppressed. The visuals and editing are up to the mark and the BGM gels well with the screenplay.

Verdict
Parking brings a message that people should kill their ego and sort out any problem that they have with others. If not, it will lead to a significant loss. For its interesting screenplay and neat performances, Parking is watch-worthy!
