Plot
Yamuna is married to a police officer. They have a daughter, Thenu. Thenu loved Aadhi, but her parents got her married to another guy, against her wishes. After a few months of marriage, they received a phone call that she had committed suicide. Soon, they rushed to perform her last rites in Rameshwaram, on a road trip. Aadhi joins them. Throughout the journey, they speak about Thenu’s activism, Aadhi-Thenu’s love, and why she was married to another guy instead of Aadhi.
Star Performance
Gayathrie is good as Thenu, and Lingesh performs neatly in the role of Aadhi. Anumol fits well in her character. Issac, who had been playing a gangster or a cop and appeared only for less screen time, is given a good role, and he nailed it. Swagatha and Ramesh Thilak are quite decent in their roles.
Analysis
Although it appears to be a simple love failure story, it speaks a lot about a mother’s feelings. Yamuna is designed with perfect depth. She is stuck between tradition and affection. Anumol is the right choice, and she emoted well and gave life to the character. Her character reflected most of the mothers. Although the performances are neat, the narration lacks a grip. A few more interesting additions to the script might have attracted us. The non-linear pattern of narration doesn’t provide what is needed. The visuals are cool, and the BGM adds value to some scenes.

Although the feeling is properly conveyed, the narrative is bland. However, the film is watchable once!
