Well, Naan Pei Pesuren is another horror-comedy movie that has hit the screens. With Darling 2, another film of this genre, releasing simultaneously, let’s see whether this movie is watchable.

Plot

Vaibhav Reddy is a small-time fraudster and enjoys his life along with his friends. He is smitten by Ishwarya Rajesh, who is the sibling of VTV Ganesh. Then there is a drastic change in his life; all because of a phone call. Who is it that harasses Vaibhav and his friends? Watch the movie to know more.

Star Performances

Vaibhav Reddy has good scope to perform in the movie. Besides showing terrified expressions, he has also done a great job in upping the comic element. However, it looks as though he is overacting in sequences where he deals with the ghost. Aishwarya Rajesh, who has worked in meaty roles in Kaaka Muttai, has shown that she can act in such mass entertainers too. As a ghost, she leaves quite a mark. V T Ganesh and Karunakaran aid in giving the much-needed comic element to the movie. Vijay Sethupathi appears for a song and is impressive.

Analysis

The movie has been in buzz for quite some time due to the reason that it has been produced by Sundar C., And the director S Baskar has won half the battle by working on an engrossing screenplay.

What’s there?

  • Banu Murugan’s cinematography is commendable.
  • Siddharth Vipin’s music is ok.
  • Sometimes the movie fails because of a good script. Here, the script is convincing.
  • N B Srikanth’s editing deserves special mention for its crispness.

What's not there?

The movie is in the dearth of logic sometimes.

Verdict

Just leave your brains at your home and watch Naan Pei Pesuren this weekend!
