Plot:
The story plot is not new to Sasikumar. It is a village subject with action, sentiment and comedy. Sasikumar aspires for a government job. He has to step in the village, as his mother, who is a post woman gets a transfer to a village. He meets interesting personalities in the village and one among them is Selfie Kathayee played by Kovai Sarala. How the latest technology impacts the village people is the main plot of the story.
Star Performances:
Sasikumar plays Sakthivel in Balle Vellaiya Thevaa. As usual, this guy has done his part well. Kovai Sarala steals the entire show with her body language and distinct Tamil accent. Rohini has played a natural mother like that of the one she played with Vishal Reddy Born as Vishal Krisna Reddy, he is called upon as >> Read More... in ‘Thaamirabharani’. The heroine Tanya plays a college girl and she had felt a bit hard in getting the village accent. However, she is not given a crucial role in the film. She tries to bring out the best.
Analysis:
Solai Prakash tried to tell the invasion of the technology in rural areas. How the villagers go gaga over the latest technology is beautifully shown in Balle Vellaiya Thevaa. Although it is a village plot, the director has inserted a message about the video piracy.
What’s there?
Sasikumar and Kovai Sarala’s colorful combination
Village backdrop is beautifully captured
Direction is good
What’s not there?
Heroine Tanya struggles a bit
Poor romance track
Verdict:
Balle Vellaiya Thevaa is a watch worthy film with comedy track of Kovai Sarala. If you want to enjoy the weekend, then it is a good film with the beautiful greenery. Sarala excels and the money spent on the film will not go in vain.
