Plot

Rameshan is a painting laborer. He didn’t have any idea about politics. To everyone’s surprise, he was given an opportunity to contest in the local body elections. The surprise gets doubled, when he won the election. Rameshan tries his best to comfort the people in his ward by maintaining the roads, streetlights, etc. But, the politicians, who had been in the field for a long time, gave him a tough challenge. Besides this, he finds it hard, as his income is not enough to run his routine. What is Rameshan’s plan? Was he successful in his attempt? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Arjun did a fantastic job. His expressions and body language are impressive. Indran’s performance is neat, as usual. He plays the dad of Arjun and supports him well.

Analysis

The story is simplistic and straight, without any significant twists and turns. The performance is the biggest plus in the film. The characters are defined well, and the stars satisfy the directors. The directors tried to showcase how an ordinary citizen would try his best when he entered politics accidentally. The visuals are incredible, and the music is pretty decent. The climax should have been shot better. The director made the film a little old-fashioned with a simple revelation in the flashback.
