Plot

KappiriThuruthu is a dramatical Malayalam movie directed and written by Saheer Ali Zaheer Ali is an upcoming director, assistant dire >> Read More... . It was produced by Ahamed Palapparambil and the music was composed by RafeeqYusaf. The story unfolds the time of slavery when the Dutch and Britishers were ruling India. It was about the time of H.Mehaboob, who was a lover of Cochin music and a renowned musician. He tells the story about how Jews worked as a slave for the white people. A young journalist comes to visit Kochi to capture the beautiful culture and the music by Mehaboob, which was popular all over the world.

The director Saheer Ali has also shown the sweet love story of Sadhu, who wanted to learn music from Mehaboob and his wife, Yami. The character sadhu is the fun-filled element of the movie, which is one of the favorite characters of everyone. The story takes a turn when some goons try to humiliate Sadhu’s wife and continuously keeps a false eye on her. The story further revolves around how Sadhu manages to face all the difficulties.

Star Performance

The movie could have never been this successful without the backbreaking work of the cast and each one should get appreciated for their magnificent performance portrayed on the screen. Analysis Saheer Ali tried to portray a different scenario during the rule of Britishers and did a lot of research to come up with such a script.

What’s there?

1. The cast and crew are to be admired and are the main attraction of the movie.

2. The period of 1940’s was depicted beautifully.

What’s not there?

1. Saheer Ali had put in too many details that made the film boring in some parts.

2. The visualization could have been better.

Verdict

It is another historical film with a romantic love story. I am sure the audience is going to admire it.
