A group of women athletes was traveling to Bangalore for a Meet. The bus is hijacked by a group of drug peddlers, who plan to sell these girls. Before they send them to different places, the girls plan to escape from the hijackers. Were they successful? The rest of the film shows that.
The stars performed well; especially the performance of Indu is appreciable. VijayBabu, Krishnan, and Shyamaprasad had done a good job and helped the movie to have a smooth flow.
Although this is not a fresh concept, the screenplay and the performances are fresh, indeed. Usually, in a hijacking story, the victims try to seek help from others and wait to rescue them. This is not the case, and the girls deal with them in person, and it is a bold attempt. The music and cinematography had given a huge hand to the story. The director should be appreciated for making the audience watch the film without moving their heads. The thrill moments are captured well, and in many scenes, the cinematography had helped project the expressions of the stars.
What’s Not There?
Eighteen Hours is an intriguing thriller with excellent performance and direction. With a good team like this to handle the production, the filmmakers could achieve great success. Eighteen Hours – watch-worthy!
