Plot

Karthik embarks on a journey of seeking true love. However, each of his attempt ends up worse than the previous one. Is he doomed to failure, or does destiny have something else in store for him?

Star Performances

For all the flaws of this film, Dheekshith Shetty has at least given his best with whatever he was offered. He is one of the few bright spots in this otherwise cliched film.

Apart from Dheekshith, it seems that only Naveen Challa was serious about his job. He kept the film at least visually appealing.

Analysis

What do you need for a compelling and emotionally appealing romantic drama? Some beautiful songs? Memorable dialogues? An intriguing storyline? Well, it seems that the makers of ‘KTM’ had some unique ideas, only that they never brought it out on paper!

No, we are not making this up. ‘KTM’ seems like a unique cocktail of ‘ Arjun Reddy Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘ World Famous Lover Click to look into! >> Read More... ’. Only that it failed to follow both of their storylines. The story starts off on a decent note. However, by the time the film comes to an end [literally], the viewers [and probably even the cast] are confused about the end goal in sight.

The dialogues serve no purpose either. Some of them are just passable, and some of them are rather forgettable. There is a difference between inspiration and simply being a copycat. Unfortunately, ‘KTM’ took the other approach. The very things for which many social media users would have mocked Instagram reelers are made to look like cool and necessary for a romantic drama.

The only saving graces for this film are the visuals, as supervised by Naveen Challa, and the performance of Dheekshith Shetty. Verdict

‘KTM’ is a romantic drama that seemed path breaking on paper. However, the result was completely different from what was probably thought by the makers. Only a few acting performances and some visuals somehow keep the narrative passable.
