in this 2007 family drama film. This is a feel good movie with quite a few lessons to be learned.
Plot
Rajveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) has a whirlwind romance with Radhika (Rani Mukherji) and marries her, against her father’s wishes. Always having had dreams of becoming an ace race-car driver, Rajveer is discovered by a failing race team owner and together, they transform it into the number one race team with Rajveer being the ace driver. The couple has two children and live a happy and lavish lifestyle.
Alas, due to an accident occurring in one of his many races, Rajveer (now called RV) is deemed unfit for racing again. This leaves him and his family to fend for themselves, leading to a “riches to rag” lifestyle. How will the whole family handle and get out of such a situation? Will RV ever be able to recover fully and race again? Watch the film to find out.
Analysis
This is a feel-good commercial movie, showing both the perks and hardships in life. It depicts a fantasy that many would want to live and inspires children to try and live their dreams, and never to give up when faced with obstacles. The movie does become a little dull, and the story moves forward at a very slow pace at some moments, but there is a lot of good music. Also, the climax is nice and effective.
