Plot
Terrorist attacks in Srinagar’s Pulwama call for the formation of Air Dragons consisting of top IAF aviators to counter the situation. The team is under the command of Rakesh Jaisingh (played by Anil Kapoor). The team consists of some of the country’s best, including Squadron Leaders Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Sartaj Singh (Karan Singh Grover), and Basheer Khan (Akshay Oberoi). The movie unfolds to show how the team fights against one of the most feared terrorist group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and its leader Azhar Akhtar (Rishabh Sawhney).
Star Performance
Hrithik Roshan blew the audience away with both his looks and acting. His two-year gap made his incredible comeback performance all the more satisfying for his fans. Hrithik played Patty well as a young, short-tempered man of valor. Deepika, in yet another action role, was something her fans wished for, and she did not disappoint. She owned every scene that she played. Minni in her hands, was the epitome of a bold and strong-willed fighter. She showed us why she is the Lady Superstar of Bollywood. Anil Kapoor rocked as Rocky. The supporting actors gave away impressive performances.Â
Analysis
The movie is inspired by the 2019 Pulwama attack and played out as a patriotic movie, with it being released on the eve of the 75th Republic Day of India. The film was able to captivate the audience, and instill in them pride in the country’s air force. The acting was exceptional, and so was the script and direction.
