Sidharth Anand was born on 31 July 1978. He is well known for directing movies such as War, Pathaan, Bang Bang! and others. He is widely recognized for his contributions to Indian Cinema in the Romance and Action Genres. His movie Ta Ra Rum Pum also achieved the Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 2007. Another movie, War, also became the Highest Grossing movie of the year 2019. All in all, he is a brilliant director, and his films are a must-watch.

1. War

War is an Indian film directed by Siddharth Anand and was released in 2019. This movie features Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. The movie’s plot is that an agent, Major Kabir Dhaliwal, is framed for the murder of a Research and Analysis Wing agent. Kabir is on a mission to clear his name from the wrongful accusation and teams up with Captain Khalid Rahmani, who helps in finding out the natural killer. At the movie’s end, Kabir successfully exposes the lies and defeats the villain.

2. Bang Bang!

Bang Bang! It Is a film released in 2014. The movie stars Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. The movie revolves around a pact between India and the United Kingdom. The treaty includes handing over a criminal, Omar Zafar, who ends up escaping midway. A reward is set for an Indian to steal the Kohinoor diamond by Omar. Rajveer steals the diamond but demands more money as a reward, which leads to a chase for him by Omar Zafar and his men. The movie is thrilling and is a must-watch for Siddharth Anand’s fans.

3. Pathaan

Pathaan was released in 2023 and stars Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone. The movie is about a government agent, Pathaan, who, along with his team and a retired agent, Tiger, tries to sabotage Outfit X’s plan to attack the President. Outfit X’s leader’s identity is revealed to be Jim who is also a former agent turned rogue. As Pathaan fights against Jim’s evil plan, he disarms a virus missile aimed at Delhi. Due to his heroic contributions towards protecting the country, he was promoted to the head of JOCR.

4. Fighter

Fighter movie is not yet released and stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor. The film was announced in 2021 and is scheduled to be released in 2024. The film is themed on Aerial Action and is the first part of a franchise. The soundtrack for the film is made by Vishal-Shekhar. The movie has been abruptly delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic but is expected to be released on Republic Day, 2024.

5. Salaam Namaste

Salaam Namaste is a movie released in 2004 and stars Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. Nikhil is played by Saif, while Ambar is played by Preity Zinta. The movie’s plot is that Ambar’s parents disown her because she decides to stay in Melbourne. Here, she meets Nikhil, who secretly likes her and later confesses to her on her radio show. Soon, they get together and fall in love. The story takes a turn when Ambar is pregnant with twins and is unsure about keeping them, which leads to Nikhil breaking up with her. After a series of misunderstandings, Nikhil realizes his love for Ambar, and they get married.

6. Ta Ra Rum Pum

Ta Ra Rum Pum is an Indian film released in 2007. The film stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji. The film revolves around the story of Rajveer, who initially was a pit crew team member but turned into an ambitious racer. He gets married to Radhika, who is a pianist, against her father’s will. The film turns dark when Rajveer faces an accident, which leads him to stop racing. This creates financial difficulties for the family as Rajveer resorted to becoming a taxi driver to pay for Champ’s surgery. By the movie’s end, Rajveer gets an opportunity to race again, which he wins and can pay for his son’s surgery.

7. Anjaana Anjaani

Anjaana Anjaani was released in 2010 and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Akash, who resides in New York, has bankrupted his company and is desperately in need of 12 million Dollars and attempts suicide at a bridge. Kiara is also present there, extremely depressed, as she had found out her fiancé has been cheating on her. The coast guard interferes, which makes both their attempts unsuccessful. They attempt suicide multiple times throughout the movie, but each time, their attempts are unsuccessful. Finally, they both fall in love with each other and end up getting married and having a son.

8. Bachna Ae Haseeno

Bachna Ae Haseeno is a Bollywood romantic comedy film released in 2008. Raj Sharma, a young playboy played by Ranbir Kapoor, at different stages of his life meets three young women. In Switzerland in 1996, when Mahi was on a trip with her friends and family, Raj encountered her, but afterward, he broke her trust, leaving her heartbroken. After six years of the Switzerland incident, Raj enters a live-in relationship with Radhika, his neighbor, but avoids her due to commitment phobia, causing her great pain. Five years later, he falls in love with Gayatri in Sydney but she rejects him, saying that she does not believe in commitment. After he realizes his mistake, he seeks Radhika and Mahi for forgiveness. By the end of the movie, Gayatri gets married to Raj.

9. Hum Tum

Hum Tum is a movie that is co-directed by Siddharth Anand. The lead roles are Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji. The film is about a playboy, Karan, and Rhea who meet on a flight from Delhi to New York. He tries to flirt with her, but she shuts him down. Karan kisses Rhea, which she does not consent to, and walks away. They meet again after six months at a public park, and Karan causes a scene intentionally to break up with his current partner. Three years later, Karan helps in planning Rhea’s wedding to Sameer. Their marriage does not last long as Sameer is involved in a fatal accident and dies after a year. Karan sets out to reconcile with Rhea and eventually, they get married and have a baby girl.

10. Mujhse Dosti Karoge!

Mujhse Dosti Karoge is a Bollywood coming-of-age romance comedy movie released in 2002. This movie revolves around Pooja, Raj, and Tina, who are childhood friends but are entangled in a love triangle. Raj was always been attracted to Tina, unaware that Pooja was secretly in love with him. When Raj was in London, Pooja was the one who wrote him heartfelt emails over the years but she signed the emails as “Tina” instead of her name. When Raj returns to India, he falls for Tina, and knowing the truth of the e-mails, Tina still falls for Raj. When Raj knows about the fact, he confesses his love for Pooja. But Pooja denies it as she wants Tina to be happy. Raj puts the condition that he will only marry Tina if Pooja marries someone else. Tina realizes that they all would be satisfied in tying the knot between Pooja and Raj.
