Plot
Rashmi is from a small town, Kutch Bhuj. From her childhood, she has been much interested in sports. Unlike other girls of her age, Rashmi has some boyish mannerisms. She is a fast sprinter. Bhanu Ben, her mother, encourages her to develop her skills. With her talent and her people’s encouragement, Rashmi lands in Asian Games, representing India. Her career was promising until she was forced for a gender test. What happened next? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Taapsee excels in her role as Rashmi. Her body language, mannerisms, dialogue delivery, and performance in the emotional scenes are impressive. Priyanshu, Abhishek Banerjee, Supriya Pathak, and Supriya Pilgaonkar fit well in the roles.
Analysis
The story by Nandha Periyasamy is impressive. The screenplay, dialogues, and direction are up to the mark. After a deep analysis, the stars are picked and put up in the right characters. Taapsee is the right choice, and she seems to have done a lot of homework for this role. Her body language shows how the actress worked. The cinematography is neat. The music and the lyrics are fantastic. The film is designed on a budget as the screenplay requires, and they have not wasted much. Kudos to the planners! The film has a lot of genres within, including emotional, educational, message-oriented, and entertaining.
