Plot
A group of students inquire about a series of deaths happening on the campus where they die after accepting a friend request from Mona, a girl who is missing.
Star Performance
The cast is top-notch but they are honestly wasted. Anshuman Jha is giving one expression to every situation and Divya Menon is also okay. The rest of the actors are also just doing the job.
Analysis
The film being a horror genre is enough to build excitement around the audiences as the Indian audience always craves for a good horror film. But does this film provide that? No, because the film is confused about whether they want to be in the horror genre or thriller. The film wants to be taken seriously but fails because of the tiring, prototype screenplay which kills the excitement and shock value for the audience. The first half is only for the establishment of the characters. The thriller aspect is just dull and predictable and horror is very lackluster. The actors are just doing the job, there is no character development, and everybody is somewhat restricted to give more than one expression. There is no horror element in the film. The film tries hard to develop intrigue but fails miserably because of the tone-deaf approach towards the characters and the story. Even the social media is shown with a boomer logic that it just doesn't interest you. Mona Darling wanted to be the game changer in the horror genre but only did that mentioning social media, and the rest is the same.
