Plot
Jim is a single parent, and his world is his daughter, Jennie. He cares for her more than himself. Jennie falls in love with a guy and gets engaged to him. She informs her father, who arranges her marriage. He wants his daughter to get married in the same place where he married Jennie’s mom. So, he books the wedding place. Margot is a reality TV employee from Los Angeles. As her sister fell in love with a boy and decided to get her married, she took steps to get her sister married, as her mother didn’t approve. When the marriage day arrives, Jim and Margot enter the location at the same time, as the hall is double booked and the owner of the inn’s untimely death created further confusion. What happened next? Whose marriage happens first? The rest of the happenings form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Geraldine Viswanathan has done her part well. But this is a simple role for her acting thirst. Celia Weston’s performance is the highlight of the film. Will Ferrell has done his part extremely well as a caring father. His comedy performance is impressive. Reese Witherspoon’s performance is neat, and there are no over-the-top performances to put it down as a nasty drama.
Analysis
The story is straight and simple. The screenplay moves with a decent pace and makes us not feel bored in the 100+ minute’s drama. The characters are neatly penned, and the stars fit well. A few dialogues may look unnecessary in a few places, along with a couple of scenes. Other than those, the performances are decent and make us admire the stars. The visuals and BGM are okay.

Verdict
You're Cordially Invited is a decent entertainer if we omit a few scenes. It may not have been attractive if it had been theatrically released due to its subject. As it is an OTT release, one can enjoy the film while relaxing at home.
