STORY

Anders brings the sequel to Daddy’s Home which was a hit of 2015. In 2017, the comedy continues to the next level where father and stepfather, Dusty and Brad come together to make Christmas time perfect for the children. Things get messed up when numerous problems take place during the Christmas trip.

PLOT

Dusty and Brad have decided to share custody of two children and thus develop a friendly bond. Dusty gets remarried to Karen and is a stepdad to Adrianna. Brad and his wife, Sara along with Dusty and Karen, visit Megan’s school to attend her play. Megan through her play expresses how she doesn’t like going back to different houses all the time. After the event, Brad and Dusty decide to make peace with each other for their children’s sake, and so they plan to celebrate Christmas together. The phone rings during the announcement and on the phone is none other than Grandpa Kurt, Dusty's father. Dusty gets to know about the arrival of grandpa on Christmas and also Brad tells Dusty that his parents are coming for a holiday. Kurt's annoying behavior continues to test the co-dad relationship of Brad and Dusty.

Dylan starts developing a liking for a girl living next to his home and seeks help from Brad regarding the matter on how to deal with girls. Brad suggests him not to bend down first. Later, the whole family looks for the perfect "Together Christmas tree" where Brad accidentally cut down a cell phone tower with a chainsaw and is charged $20,000 for destroying the cell tower. During the preparation of Christmas, Brad realizes that Don is absent. Megan accidentally shoots Kurt in the shoulder while hunting. After all the fights and drama, the families return home. Don talks to Brad about his divorce. Dylan again meets his crush at the theatre and in confusion kisses his stepsister, Adrianna. Roger loses his temper at this but Dusty makes him realize his mistakes. Roger rethinks and decides to stay. Don and Brad sort out their issues. Don and Kurt are prepared to leave to their respective homes. Afterwards, Kurt heads with Don where he reveals to Don that they will spend New Year together in Las Vegas.
