Plot
Paul Safranek is an occupational therapist, lives in his old house with his wife named Audrey Safranek, and they are searching for a new one in a time of recession. On the other hand, two doctors named Dr. Jorgen Asbjornsen and Dr. Andreas Jacobsen of an institute did some research they found a solution for overcoming overpopulation and saving our planet, as human life is expecting to end soon.
They discover a procedure by which living beings can be shrunken to four inches tall, which can help environment for decreasing resource utilization. Paul and Audrey make a decision to volunteer in the procedure and get shrunk as they want to upgrade their lifestyle at an affordable price. They both undergo into the procedure and Paul gets shrunken to Four inches, while Audrey gets scared of the process and decides to quit it.
It gets too late for Paul to meet her as he is already converting into a short person. Now Paul is involuntary living his life without his wife, and he regrets undergoing the procedure. But not for too long until he finds new meaning in his life. What is going to happen next? And what changed Paul’s life? How will the planet be saved? The rest of the story covers this.
Star performance
Matt Damon’s role is fill with plenty of emotions, and ups and downs in the movie, his role is hilarious and emotional. Kristen Wiig has done a fantastic job in her act. Hong Chau is smooth in her role and her dialogue delivery is endearing. Roff Lassgard, Udo Kier and Soren Pilmark have done a superb job. Ingherd Egeberg has done fantabulous acting, and the star cast has given their all and has done their best.
Analysis
Downsizing is a comedy and drama film, with a unique sci-fiction story. The director has shown an ongoing environmental issue and upcoming life-threatening situations and has given a unique solution to those problems. The film is the ultimate entertainment. The BG music and the effects in the film are astonishing. The cast has done well.

The film has shown some unrealistic methods and procedures for solution of ongoing environmental issues, and some upcoming disasters and calamities. Moreover, the movie shows the increasing recession and financial problems of the people and how they deal with them. The whole movie is very engaging and entertaining, maintaining the hype of the audience till the end of the film. Try watching the film; You will love it.
