, the actor. His five other celebrity friends participate in the party. There is a twist in the story as a sudden apocalypse breaks out leaving a trail of destruction behind. The celebrities are trapped in James Franco’s house. The world outside is getting reduced to shambles. Sickness and decreasing amenities pose a threat to the friendship between the celebrities.
There are some scenes in the movie that leave the surviving celebrities to ponder on the very nature of their existence. Also, the surviving celebrities do not want the apocalypse to destroy their friendship. As the destruction is upon them, the friends realize that they are left to suffer on Earth for all their selfishness. The movie is a crazy one. But still, the movie is a humorous one that is palatable to audiences. There are moments that make the audiences laugh. Also, the movie is intertwined with action scenes and horror scenes in it. Actor Jay and Seth have made a commendable performance. The chemistry between the two actors has worked out well. The lighter vein in the movie emerges from the young comedians of today. The best suggestion that could be offered is to avoid reading spoilers. There are plenty of twists in the movie, and the audiences are pulled to the edge of their seats. The movie is fun to be watched with friends and is sure to draw repeat audience to the theaters. But still, the cast in the movie are talented actors who could have been put to better use.
Verdict: It is a worthy movie for the weekend if you are curious enough to watch many celebrities share the screen space.
