does the struggling writer Rory in the movie. Time and again, he attempts to publish his book. But the publisher rejects his work. In one fine twist, Rory comes across a ancient manuscript. He preserves the manuscript, and his wife happens to come across the work. Rory’s wife mistakes the work for his work and motivates him to release the work.Â
The work makes Rory a roaring success. In yet another twist, the real author emerges and tells that he is the owner of the manuscript that Rory came across. Also, the work happens to be his autobiography. Rory hears the story by the Old Man and is moved to the extent of revealing the author’s true identity. But, people around Rory stop him from doing so. They suggest that Rory parts away a few bucks to the Old Man and that all would be okay. But, the Old Man, who is the real author, refuses to accept money.Â
Very soon, the Old Man dies leaving the world to assume that Rory is the book’s owner. The entire movie comes as a narration by Clayton Hammond, who does

Clayton Hammonds has his narration about Rory and the Old Man. And again, in another scene, there is narration by the Old Man. Soon, the audiences are seen fidgeting in their seats. The movie does not seem to target the Oscar. Rather, it comes out with the high stakes that a writer plays while plagiarizing a piece of work.
