ANALYSIS: The narration of the movie deserves a special mention. The talks by the family over the dining table is so real and can be connected to everyone's life. They have all dramatic and painful conversations over the table. The screenplay brought a huge success to the movie. There were no unnecessary and usual elements, like gossiping neighbors, etc. It was pretty decent. This movie does not only aim at homosexual people but explains the basic understanding in all the families.
STAR PERFORMANCES: Moore has got the capability to influence the audience. How much ever good or bad she does, people will want her more on screen, and Moore gives a satisfying performance. Both the protagonists share a deep understanding, and they show their anger or love just with their reactions. Mia comes as the protagonists' daughter and has a solid performance as a matured teen.
WHAT'S THERE? The garden, wine, homes, etc. looks lovely and has got a pleasing effect on the audience throughout the movie. This makes the audience yearn more for the movie.
WHAT'S NOT THERE? The logic towards the end was quite disappointing. Rejecting Ruffalo completely from their life may have consequences. Calling him as an Interloper was so rude, as he was invited by them. He did not approach the family. His love is rejected and shattered. Some unique change can be made at this scene. VERDICT: An alluring movie, where the kids are alright, but the elders are not.
