Analysis
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” largely lives up to its prequel, considerably imaginative, suitably intense comic book action and embraces a decided lack of gritty realism. It’s deficient when it comes to character development, a few instances of internal logic but it is a delightful outing that delivers where it counts. The comedic timing to the subtle lines from the foster parents is great. The sequel smartly doubles down on a slew of creative atrocities from the previous movie. There are certain criticisms, but if the goal is a flashy good time where a kid in a god’s body uppercuts a dragon, look no further.
Star Performance
The comedic timing and the action sequences add to the already fine direction and excellent story writing.

Verdict
‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ is nominally watchable but it comprises of typical superhero stuff, mainly made for children. It should’ve been made better and keener than the ultimate finished product. The characters are well-written but face the stereotyped limitations of their roles. It is a generic movie but still quite fun.
