plays a Helicopter pilot Colter Stevens in the movie ‘Source Code’. Stevens is on a highly guarded military mission. In the mission, Steven experiences the final moments of Sean Fentress. But Sean Fentress, aboard a passenger train, is killed in a blast planted by an assassin.Â
Steven’s intent is to find out the assassin and avoid an impending danger. While experiencing Fentress’s last few minutes, Stevens is sure he could avert another bomb explosion. But, Stevens knows he is running out of time. The story unfolds with Captain Stevens aboard a helicopter. The helicopter crashes somewhere in Afghanistan. Stevens shifts to a different consciousness. He suddenly becomes aware he is aboard a passenger train to Chicago with his fellow passenger Christina Warren, done by Michelle Monaghan.Â
There is again a changeover in Steven’s original consciousness and he finds himself in the mangled remains of the helicopter. His captain Goodwin, played by

, orders Steven to remain in the project. Steven is attached to a Source Code, made by Dr. Rutledge. It helps Steven experience the dying moments of another person. Time and again, Stevens is pushed back to the Source Code to identify the culprit.Â
It turns out to be exasperating for Stevens. He attempts to avert a danger, but every time he enters the Source Code, he meets with failure. Dr. Rutledge divulges that Stevens is in fact on life support after the helicopter crashes in Afghanistan. Stevens is infuriated and wants to be put at rest after the mission is over. In his alternate consciousness, Stevens corners the assassin Derek Frost, done by Michael Arden.Â
Then, as he alights from the train with fellow passenger Christina, he is disconnected from the life support. But his other consciousness as Sean Fentress remains. Goodwin is reminded of something and requests Christina to assure Stevens that everything is going to be smooth and okay.
