Plot
The film starts in the supermarket, which is home to various food items. The animated food items believe that they wait eagerly to be chosen by the customer to have a blissful afterlife, unaware of the reality of their existence. Humans celebrate grocery items as goods. When a honey mustard jar is returned to the store, the story takes a turn, revealing the sad reality of their lives being consumed by humans. This leaves Frank and Brenda on a mission to find the truth. During the quest, they meet with many other food items, form a group, and face many challenges. The group learned about the dark reality of the great beyond. The end of the movie is marked by the confrontation of the food items with the store manager, who is believed to be God. It becomes chaotic towards the end as the characters start to question their beliefs and discover that they are animated characters and that there is a real world outside the supermarket.
Star Performance
The lead character of the movie is Frank, a hotdog determined to discover and unleash the reality of their existence and the truth about the great beyond; he was in love with Brenda, a bun who was alongside Frank in facing all these challenges. Barry is a deformed sausage who is a part of the group and contributes to facing the challenges. Tressa is a spicy Mexican taco that brings energy and humor to the cast. Douche played the villain role as a hygiene product and played the role of antagonist-seeking revenge on other food items.
Analysis
The movie uses childlike methods to express deeper and darker facts about society. The visuals are colorful and symbolize hope.
