joins them. Luke settles James and cut him off from the deal. James brainwashes the other two to start billing the child porn as well. Luke feels this to be wrong. He also got warned by the FBI. Meanwhile, Rade Serbedzija, the man who supplied porn material from his local strip club, kidnapped Luke's maid's son, mistakingly for Luke's son. Will Luke be able to save the boy and himself from the law?
ANALYSIS:Â
This movie is based on the real-life incident witnessed by Christopher Mallick, one of the producers of this movie. His role is portrayed by Luke. The narration is too big for the duration. The director crammed the story into the given time. In spite of this drawback, most of the solo scenes are delightful and funny. Meanwhile, when the audience is wondering when the plot will be unfurled, the first half gets over. The movie is quite entertaining.Â
STAR PERFORMANCES:Â
The character sketch is thin. Most of the cast gives a familiar performance. Ribisi gave a replica of his performance from 'Friends.' Luke Wilson gives an honest, and a candid performance of a guy influenced to follow wrong ways. Though James Can performance is a worthy one, a distracting voice is dubbed for him.Â
WHAT'S THERE?
The insights about the porn industry and the feel of working in it are explained by the protagonist in detail.Â
WHAT'S NOT THERE?
The dark humor of the movie does not vibe well. It is utterly plain. This film looks more like a porn movie and fails to make an impact.
VERDICT:
A bizarre movie with a bit of moral.
