Plot
In the 90s, Lee Harker, an FBI agent, was assigned a task to solve a serial killer’s case. The investigation becomes complicated as the evidence is uncovered. Just intuitions can’t be considered as evidence. Lee Harker realizes that she has a personal link to the serial killer Longlegs, and she has to stop another murder before he creates the loss.
Star Performance
Nicolas Cage is unidentifiable with his makeover. His performance is perfect and impressive. Maika Monroe has done a decent job as Lee Harker. Her expressions are wonderful, especially in the scene when she finds a personal connection to the killer. The rest of the stars are good in their roles.
Analysis
The director didn’t give any clue regarding the appearance of the serial killer Longlegs in the initial half. The director takes time to get into the actual story and provides the audience enough time to settle with the characters’ introductions. The screenplay is interestingly penned, and the director pulls the audience’s attention with thrilling twists. Most of the scenes make the audience watch with squinting, as they are nervous about the upcoming thrills. This is the success of the director. Besides being a serious thriller, the film has a couple of giggles. We are not sure whether they are intentional or if we feel giggling. The visuals are good, and the editing is decent too. The BGM in the investigating and the thrilling scenes are perfect to match the scenes and hype up the needed thrill.

Verdict
Longlegs can be addressed as a weird horror movie instead of a crime-horror movie. With all the occultism and thrills, the film is definitely watchworthy!
