Plot
When the Bratva smugglers are at their Christmas tree farm on Christmas Eve, a mysterious traveller meets them. The traveller kills them to cover his tracks and moves away with a carry-on suitcase. At the same time, Ethan Kopek, a transportation security administration officer, was rejected by the police academy. When he loses his motivation, his girlfriend Nora, who works at Los Angeles Airport, motivates him not to lose his hope and try to achieve his dreams. The pregnant Nora also reminds Ethan about his promise to take her on a trip to Tahiti. Later, Ethan convinces his superior and gets a job at the baggage scanning lane. The traveller asks Ethan to allow him with the carry-on pass, or Nora will be killed. Though the traveller monitors Ethan closer, he tries to warn his senior official with the invisible ink on the boarding pass. What happened next? Will Ethan become a hero? Who is the traveller, and why is he doing the crimes? The rest of the film speaks about all these.
Star Performance
Taron Egerton has done a wonderful job as Ethan and steals the show. Jason Bateman excels in the strong negative role and completes with Taron in the performance. Jason’s dialogue delivery with his slick voice is wonderful. He is impressive as the menacing villain. Danielle Deadwyler has got a good role, and she excelled in it. The rest of the stars did what was required of them.
Analysis
The screenplay is skilfully designed, and the characters are penned neatly. Proper actors are placed in proper roles, and they do justice to the given characters. The supporting cast anchors the plot with proper writing and execution. Though the screenplay has the right pace, a few scenes needed a gripping narrative. The visuals and BGM are good, making the audience enjoy the film throughout.
