Plot

Mill Valley is a small American town. There is a house in the town, which is said to be haunted. Following a Halloween day, a teenager gang wanted to test the spooky house. Stella, one among the teenagers, carries a book of horror stories along with her to the spooky house. During her stay at the house, she started reading the stories. She started realizing that all those stories, she read had already happened. Besides this, their stories are also written and are happening. Did they know it? Did the youngsters find a way to exit from the house? Watch the film to see the answer.

Star Performance

Zoe Margaret Colletti is good at her performance. Dean Norris supports her well.

Analysis

The spooky house and the horror elements are not new. But, the director has taken the script decently. The monsters and the attacking scenes are neatly designed. Yet, they hadn’t properly carved some characters. The VFX works and the BGM are fantastic.

What’s There?

  • Performance of the stars are good
  • VFX works are excellent

What’s Not There?

  • Certain scenes and characters are not written properly
  • Some logical loopholes

Verdict

Although it is a regular genre, with a different narration, the director had made the audience enjoy the film.
