Plot: The movie take place in the year 1979.In 1979, the Islamic Revolution overthrew the dictator Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who came to power thanks to the United States government, and the leader of the revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, takes over the charge of the leadership. The American Embassy in Tehran, are invaded by the Iranian revolutionaries and the American officials find themselves in trouble as they are eventually taken as hostages.
However, six officials do escape secretly escorted by the Canadian Ambassador at his residence in Tehran. So it becomes the job of CIA director to think of a plan to bring those hostages back to the country. They believe the perfect man for this job would be their agent Tony Mendez. The plan that Mendez comes up with even though sounds silly but the CIA was not having any alternative decide to go with it. Tony decides to direct a fake Canadian film that is to be shot in Iran and ask the officials to join him by becoming part of his production crew. When he his given the permission by his superiors he travels to Hollywood to work on his plan in almost what looks like an impossible mission to rescue the group.
Analysis: The movie is nothing less than captivating thanks to the great narration, direction as well as acting by the actors. The camera work in the movie is very sensational as they can capture all the emotions and the action sequences of the movie very beautifully. In short, this real movie about the fake movie is both spellbinding and surprisingly funny.

has again given a stellar performance and has proved his acting as well as his directing skills once again. He is without any doubt the standout performer in the movie. The emotions that he showcases keep you engaged, and you can almost feel his emotions thanks to his great acting. The results are nothing less than captivating.

The movie has everything and is totally flawless so it would be wrong to criticize a movie like this. Though the movie has some violent and abusive language, You cannot show rescue mission without it.
Verdict: This is one of a kind movie. Do not miss it at any cost. The movie is a must watch, and I am sure that this Ben Affleck’s hostage saga will keep you chained to your seats.
