have the layers in their performances which uplifts the film. Amy Madigan and Graham Greene’s characters have less screen time and are underdeveloped despite that, they deliver.
Analysis
The film is about human pain. The film metaphorically unravels its darkness in the name of what humans can do, how destroying they can be. The director and the producer have a history of making films like that but do they succeed? The film will be hard to watch because of the dark themes it focuses on. . The film builds the atmosphere well, the vibe of a lonesome town, bare fields. The actors are fantastic and do justice to their roles, so where is the problem? It's the themes the film focuses on which is underdeveloped. More focus is on the horror than the themes. The abuse is kind of into your face, which is disturbing to watch. All of this with horror doesn't turn out to be a coherent piece. It had the potential to be spectacular, but it's in the middle. It had the elements of a scary creature, a lonesome town, great actors but the choice of using abuse as a narrative lets this film down. The tropes makers have used will indeed divide the audience. Antlers as a film is not bad, but it's not good either.

Verdict
Antlers is an average horror flick, it had the potential to be unique but because of its into-your-face themes and it being underdeveloped is this film’s downfall. You can watch it once, it's not bad, but it's not fantastic either.
